I’ve spent a fair bit of time in Wells lately, but only just got around to going inside Wells Cathedral. It’s a good ‘un.

Looking up the nave; the classy quadripartite vaulted ceiling was decorated in the 19th Century

Looking down the choir and into the Lady Chapel at the end with medieval stained glass windows

Without the St Andrew’s Cross arches, monumental and almost modern-looking but built in 1338, the central tower falls down
